I wish that I could write a catchy song,<\/p>\n

To play without a stiffened hand and mind,<\/p>\n

To sing melodiously of right and wrong<\/p>\n

While leaving somber, gloomy thoughts behind.<\/p>\n

I’d weave and prune and form a garland strong<\/p>\n

In fragrant flowers of remembrance and awe.<\/p>\n

This awe so bright will light my eyes, prolong<\/p>\n

Into artistic forms from what I saw,<\/p>\n

And overflow with worlds of paper breath<\/p>\n

Which by a holy force will breathe new life<\/p>\n

Into some midnight soul. Not by\u00a0my<\/em> breath.<\/p>\n

Yet many eyes will see a leaflet rife<\/p>\n

With my old scrawls, belying light mystique<\/p>\n

Within its words: an empire fantastique.<\/p>\n
